Typical of the Mediterranean fishermen, with a similar style to the “Caldero”, but should be cooked in a paella pan, not a covered pot. It’s name derives from the Valencian “a banda”which means “apart”, because the rice was served on one side and the fish on another. Nowadays it is usually served with squid.

Another variation of the traditional paella, with a base of seafood and fish, the characteristic black color is obtained from the natural ink of the squid, which also provides extraordinary flavor.

Ingredients:

Seafood stock, fish and sofrito (76,5%): [water, olive oil (12%), squid ink (5%),shrimp (8,6%),hake (8,6%), monkfish (7,7%), tomato, garlic, dried peppers, salt, yeast extract, natural aromas and colorants],squid (23,5%)

Trukey and vegetable stock and stir fry (74.3%): [water, turkey (26%), olive oil (12%), turnip, tomato, yeast extract, garlic, salt, carrot, dried pepper, turip, parsnip, leek, spices and natural colournats, celery], chicken fillet (14.7%), red pepper (3.7%) and butter beans (3.7%)

The traditional Mediterranean diet is based on the paella. All ingredients in this recipe are 100 percent vegetables, those used in making the stock and those in pieces.
